The concept and design of The Semple Family Logo emanated from Joycelyn Semple-Ambrose. This Emblem symbolizes the essence of the Semple personality as was observed and experienced by the designer during her formative years growing up on the West Coast Berbice, Guyana.

There were observed in the Semple Family members a oneness of purpose and a deep cooperative harmoniousness in going about day to day activities. Over all this behavior pattern among them descriptively could be encapsulated in the word UNITY.

There were thoughtfulness and forcefulness in confronting a rural life style fraught with myriad challenges. Their energies were always mustered to rise above these conditions with hard work and creativity. They displayed indomitable fortitude and humility in meeting situations that were fortuitous or otherwise. This developed for them a forcefulness of character and which has been passed on to succeeding generations and which is now seen as an inherent family STRENGTH.

There are significant measured past and present accomplishments by members of the family in all aspects of life that may now be observed from within its own diaspora. This has enriched the family with a very high level of self esteem. As a group we feel very unique and dignified and in terms of our heritage we have a sense of unsurpassed PRIDE.

The ring around the motto reflects the global connection of the Semple Family as a solid unbroken circle. This linkage depicts a common commitment to family loyalty, friendship and progress.
